What happened to REAL relationships? A must read!!

About 20 years from now, daughters will ask their parents how they met and the story will start with "He slid into my DMs like..." What happened to real love and relationships.. what happened to people like John Cusack standing outside her house, holding a boombox and playing her favourite song?
Where are all the great moments? I know this isn't a movie but the effort taken really goes a long way. Relationships today consist of showing most of your love for your significant other via twitter/facebook. I mean, I will admit it, I like it when my boyfriend posts a thing or two about me but I see guys proclaiming their love to their girlfriends on twitter other than in person. I'm not the picky type but I like the little things that go a long way.  To who ever is reading this, when have you ever actually asked her or him out on a date? Yes.. SHE can ask HIM out on a date. Does it sound something like "wanna watch Netflix & fuck?" because that's the definition of today's relationships.. I mean, boy.. you can do that any day! You've got 365 days in a year to watch Netflix and have sex but maybe once.. just once, you can get a cheap dinner form JackAstors or a local restaurant anywhere downtown. I'm not asking for much from people, I'm not putting pressure on guys but for once, why not open the door for her because you wanted to show respect not to "see the booty bounce" which could be acceptable but coming from a girl myself, respect goes a long way. When I'm out with my boyfriend, our phones are put away. I love to tweet and trust me, I'm a huge fan of the social media but I'd have 8-10hr gaps on my tweets because of time spent with him and I believe that everyone should do that. If I take out my phone to take pictures of the food or where we are, it goes right back to my bag & it's posted later when I get home. I've been to restaurants where couples spend more time on their phones than talking to each other & I can bet that 80% of the time, they're tweeting about how "Awesome" their date is going. So people.. as generations come and go, let ours count, bring back what matters which is moments spent with each others. This isn't a movie, it really isn't but create your own REAL fairy tale. Leave your comments on how you feel about today's relationships....  Now here's my real problem.. Why people even go to relationships in the first place. I overhead a conversation once and the reason this guy wanted to date this girl was because "she had nice tits".. I had to keep calm, sip some Iced Coffee & not slap him in the face. If the reason you are in a relationship is because you're bored, because you needed someone to fuck or EVEN if you just wanted someone to cuddle with at night then you're in it for the wrooonnnggg reasons girlfriend. Find a genuine reason for example "BECAUSE I FELL IN LOVE WITH HIM/HER". I know this generation doesn't limit dates to just outings but remember, I'm saying pick a day out of 365 to show your significant other why he or she is your significant other. Watching Netflix is fun, just staying in and cuddling is superb but I know for a fact that she wants to put on a red dress and black heels just for him and have him pick her up to go on a real date or maybe, all this is just a Janey thing so disagree if you'd like but I'm sure a dinner time love story for your child should not start with "I knew he was the one after he favourited my tweets a couple times". Well, back to my Iced Coffee.. <3
