Have you tried turning it OFF & ON?
Well long story short, my sister's macbook was heating up & then it basically sounded like something was about to blow up & since then, her laptop shut down & didn't turn on or even flash anything. It didn't even charge. She tried to turn it off & on for about 2 days & nothing worked. (Fixing a burnt out battery is $100 at apple).. anyways, for the entire 1 month winter break she couldn't use her laptop. She left it sitting in her room & just stared at it with anger. After the break she obviously need the laptop working for school so she took it to apple with $100 ready to fix it. Right away the tech guy asked "have you tried turning it on" & she flipped out saying "obviously i did.. blah blah blah" & guess what? With a single push of a button her laptop turned on & was working perfectly.
Apple laptops have this defence mechanism where it shuts down the system for 2 days whenever something is happening that threatens the battery or any internal system. After 2 days all you have to do is simply turn it on.
Moral of the story?.. did you really turn it off & on? Oh & apple is DA BOMB.

A List Of My Top 10 New Year Resolution/Hopes
So I thought about it for a while & I've come up with a list of 10 things I'd like to accomplish this new year. To start off with, I'd like to make sure everyone understand that these are PLANS & I will try to succeed with going through with them but they're not guaranteed. Just being realistic here lol.
1. Save $1000 before April.
- I'll be honest here, I may have a spending problem. This might be easy for people but save a grand will be a huge accomplishment for me. Especially the fact that I'll be working once a week from Jan-April.2. Lose 15 pounds.
- YA YA I know I know... Typical new year plan but seriously it's different this time. I've got money on the line with this one. Who ever loses the most amount of weight wins & you know me, I love a good competition.
3. Maintain a 3.0 CGPA.
- Fuck you finance... seriously... My marks from last semester ranged between A & Bs until finance decided to kill my vibe. In light of the new year, I'll take it as a challenge & maintain my 3.0 CGPA even if I have finance 401 this coming semester.
4. Get my G2
- Unfortunately, i've been running around with my G1 like i'm the shit but seriously.. I need my G2 asap! Everyone is getting annoyed that I don't have my G2 & i've been stalling for almost 2 years now so I think it's time. This year, I plan on getting my G2 as soon as I get the time to. In fact, I'll make time for it. Let's make this happen!5. Get a paid business job.
- Seriously, Tim Hortons was just a summer job until I realized I had no time for a business job & Timmies was very flexible with my changing schedule. I currently have an unpaid job as a marketing associate at Ryerson Commerce and Arts Association so I'll use skills learnt from that job & aim to work at an office.
6. Travel outside of the country with my boyfriend.
- yes I know.. Super cheesy but seriously I'm really looking into that. It'll be a nice experience for both of us.... especially the fact that I've never traveled outside of the country. Aiming for London, England.
7. Successfully obtain a position as VP Marketing at RCAA.
- I know I'm just an associate now but seriously people, I've got the passion, work ethics & strive to be a VP. I love RCAA (Ryerson Commerce & Arts Association) with a passion & it's motif towards Ryerson students & it'll suck to end my contract & not pursue something bigger with the group.
8. Eat less McDonald's
- Soooooo how many other people just loveeeeee McDonald's & it's fries & Jr. Chicken & yum yum yum. Unfortunately, as a downtown student.. It's basically my go-to lunch which sucks. As you see, I said "Eat Less" not completely eliminate cause I love me some yummy yummy fries.
9. Sing more (YouTube)
- As some people don't know.. I love to sing! I've been singing for abouttttt 6 years now & recently (2014) I've taken a sligh break from it. I've gotten too busy to sing & I barely & almost never perform. Now I have like 2 songs/year on SoundCloud & barely look into YouTube videos. It's sad because a couple years ago I was performing shows & getting a thousand + hits on YouTube. Singing really is my passion & I'll try & do more of it this year.
10. Stop stressing the small stuff
- My family knows, my boyfriend knows.. Everyone knows.. I'm a stressed. I'm the kind to stay up until 4am over thinking things or to submit assignment that's perfect but still look at it as a draft. I stress so much the stress pimples on my face are starting to be permanent. This year, I will try my best to stress less. Hello bubble bath & what's up 9hrs of sleep!

New Year New Me ...... (NOTT!)
10, 9, 8, 7, 6... 5... 4.. 3 .. 2 .. 1 ... HAPPY NEW YEARRRRR! WOW.. 2014 flewwww by faster than I thought. What can I say.. I had a GREAT year and a even GREATER start of 2015. (Longgg story)
"This New Year equals a new me"! ...
well, that's what everyone will be saying as this year starts but seriously it's a bunch of BULLSHIT. I'm still the same me from year 2000 until now. Seriously people.. the year does not change you. Let's just be honest here and come to a conclusion that you'll still be that same person you were the year before. Why change who you are because really you cant. When I say (new me) I mean maybe a new hair cut, a new job, new friends, new car, new closet.. so many things can be new but not because of the New Year but because of natural changes in life. Now back to my point... the fact that one is growing as a person does NOT mean the person has changed. I haven't changed, in fact.. I still love the taste of baby food (just kidding.. maybe a little). Seriously people, don't pull off a act this new year. Do not change your personality because it's a new year. You are who you are and you have to accept it. There is a HUGE difference between your personality and your attitude. Change your negative attitude this New Year and not who you really are which is basically your personality. You're all perfect the way you are and maybe even a couple hair cuts and new clothes later, you're still the same so really.. NEW YEAR, SAME ME.

What happened to REAL relationships? A must read!!
About 20 years from now, daughters will ask their parents how they met and the story will start with "He slid into my DMs like..." What happened to real love and relationships.. what happened to people like John Cusack standing outside her house, holding a boombox and playing her favourite song?
Where are all the great moments? I know this isn't a movie but the effort taken really goes a long way. Relationships today consist of showing most of your love for your significant other via twitter/facebook. I mean, I will admit it, I like it when my boyfriend posts a thing or two about me but I see guys proclaiming their love to their girlfriends on twitter other than in person. I'm not the picky type but I like the little things that go a long way. To who ever is reading this, when have you ever actually asked her or him out on a date? Yes.. SHE can ask HIM out on a date. Does it sound something like "wanna watch Netflix & fuck?" because that's the definition of today's relationships.. I mean, boy.. you can do that any day! You've got 365 days in a year to watch Netflix and have sex but maybe once.. just once, you can get a cheap dinner form JackAstors or a local restaurant anywhere downtown. I'm not asking for much from people, I'm not putting pressure on guys but for once, why not open the door for her because you wanted to show respect not to "see the booty bounce" which could be acceptable but coming from a girl myself, respect goes a long way. When I'm out with my boyfriend, our phones are put away. I love to tweet and trust me, I'm a huge fan of the social media but I'd have 8-10hr gaps on my tweets because of time spent with him and I believe that everyone should do that. If I take out my phone to take pictures of the food or where we are, it goes right back to my bag & it's posted later when I get home. I've been to restaurants where couples spend more time on their phones than talking to each other & I can bet that 80% of the time, they're tweeting about how "Awesome" their date is going. So people.. as generations come and go, let ours count, bring back what matters which is moments spent with each others. This isn't a movie, it really isn't but create your own REAL fairy tale. Leave your comments on how you feel about today's relationships.... Now here's my real problem.. Why people even go to relationships in the first place. I overhead a conversation once and the reason this guy wanted to date this girl was because "she had nice tits".. I had to keep calm, sip some Iced Coffee & not slap him in the face. If the reason you are in a relationship is because you're bored, because you needed someone to fuck or EVEN if you just wanted someone to cuddle with at night then you're in it for the wrooonnnggg reasons girlfriend. Find a genuine reason for example "BECAUSE I FELL IN LOVE WITH HIM/HER". I know this generation doesn't limit dates to just outings but remember, I'm saying pick a day out of 365 to show your significant other why he or she is your significant other. Watching Netflix is fun, just staying in and cuddling is superb but I know for a fact that she wants to put on a red dress and black heels just for him and have him pick her up to go on a real date or maybe, all this is just a Janey thing so disagree if you'd like but I'm sure a dinner time love story for your child should not start with "I knew he was the one after he favourited my tweets a couple times". Well, back to my Iced Coffee.. <3
